The Wii

For those of you who don't know, we have a Wii game console. It is a lot of fun. We enjoy playing on it occasionally. Recently, Lindsey has been wanting to play constantly. She has the Disney Princess game and loves it. I, however, like it but could do without. In order to start playing the game, you have to design your own princess. You pick out everything for this girl. The dress, the color of the dress, the accent color of the dress, the shoes, the color of the shoes, earrings, bracelet, crown, hair, eyes, etc. You get the point. Well, it takes Lindsey about ten minutes just to do that part and by that time it is time for bath or bed or something else. Anyway, she loves to make her own princess but then needs help to do the rest of the game. So, while it is fun for her, it is work for us because we are the ones who have to figure the game out.

Then we have Wii Fit because what good is a Wii without Wii Fit. It is so much fun but of course I have no time to actually do it. When Robert and Lindsey get it out to "work out" (if you can call it that because it is fun) that is when Reagan needs to eat or needs something else from me. But, although I don't get to play it much, it is a whole lot of fun to watch. Here are some pictures from our Wii experiences...

Daddy helps Lindsey sometimes on MarioKart. She doesn't always go in the direction of the finish line, which is kinda the point of the game.Reagan "gave" Lindsey the Disney Princess Wii game for Christmas. Look how excited Reagan is - she just can't wait to play the game too.Our college group has had fun playing Wii Fit too. (Notice the tongue sticking out!)Lindsey concentrating hard on choosing the proper attire for her princess. I'm telling you, it's hard work.Reagan and daddy watching Lindsey do Wii Fit.Here she goes on the ski jump.Flying through the air on ski jump. Notice her mouth. Surely that is how you go farther.

Reagan is Six Months Old

I can't believe that Reagan is already a half a year old. Wow! It is amazing how fast time flies. But then at times (particularly on a bad day) time can drag on forever. As you saw in my last post, Reagan has started her solids. Up until yesterday it was rice cereal and oatmeal. She likes both of those pretty well. She will eat all that we prepare for her. Then came carrots yesterday. She is not a big fan at all. I'll show you the different emotions that we went through at our first tasting...

What a sweet face! Drool and all!
What is that in my bowl?I don't think I like this! The girls playing. Do you think Reagan will always have this good of posture? Here is the first attempt at taking Reagan's six month picture. She was not a happy girl - time to eat and then go to bed.I managed to get a sort-of smile. But I guess I didn't torture her too much last night taking pictures - she looked pretty relaxed when I went to get her this morning. And Lindsey had winter hat day at school today - too bad it felt more like a spring day!

An All-Reagan Post

Just recently I have realized that I haven't done a great job of taking pictures of Reagan. I know, I know, she's our second child and that happens. But I really did not want that to happen to her. So to try and make up for it we have taken a lot of pictures of her in the past couple of weeks. So here goes....

All clean!
She has no idea what she is in for - first taste of real food!
Daddy was the first to give her rice cereal. Yum! (Notice Robert's mouth - just try and feed a baby without making your mouth do what you want theirs to do!)
Or not!
I guess Lindsey was thinking that she could magically change the food to be ice cream or something that would taste better to Reagan.
Just a cute picture of our little one.
She does love her exersaucer. I have a picture of Lindsey that looks very similar - I'll have to find it.
First taste of oatmeal.
She looks a little happier about this than the rice cereal. Don't you think?

Lots Has Happened!

So did you all ("all" meaning the three or four of you that might be reading this) survive Christmas and New Year's? We had a great and busy couple of days last week. We woke up and had a wonderful, relaxed Christmas morning at our house.

Our girls with their cookies and milk for Santa.
I think Lindsey liked her stocking stuffers!
I know for sure that she liked this present...she has already watched it about four times!
Lindsey liked watching Reagan with her new books.
Daddy finally has new pictures of the girls to take to his work! Yea!

Complete with me receiving the most wonderful surprise I have gotten in a very long time.
My new van!!! I still can't believe Robert did it all (the picking it out, the paperwork, getting it home, putting the bow on it, etc.) without me knowing anything. Here is a picture of it at the dealership the next day. I guess he couldn't do it completely without me. I had to go sign a paper that day. But luckily we took a picture of it there because in all the excitement at home, we failed to take a picture of it in our driveway.

We then had a nice breakfast with my parents. Robert made yummy pancakes and mom brought sausage balls. I just provided the milk and juice. So easy!

Then we all cleaned up and got ready for the day (finally!) We had been invited to the Dickison's house for a late lunch so we went over there around two. The food was great and we loved being able to spend that time with our amazing friends and their family.

From there we went to Lydia and Arthemon's house for dinner with Robert's family followed by more presents. By this time, I (and I'm sure the girls) were all super tired but we kept on going. Lots of fun with more of our wonderful family.

Robert with his new hat. I'm sure there will lots of Boston stuff to come thanks to Manny.
I love this picture of Reagan. She is so excited about her baby wipes! Can't you tell?
I was trying to take a great picture of Lindsey with the tree lights in the background. This is as good as it got.
Reagan has already had fun with this toy. Not so much playing with it but listening to the songs and watching the animals roll around.
