I Made It To 2012!!!!!!

Yay!!! Here's my first post in 2012.  I am actually getting caught up!  Come on - be excited with me!

Lindsey had a great teacher this year.  And many fun and new things to participate in.  One of the topics they covered in school this year was Ancient Egypt.  At the end of the unit, the kids were to dress as a person who lived in Ancient Egypt.  We have great friends who let us borrow this wonderful outfit for Lindsey.  It turned out very nicely - even if she did have to wear long sleeves and tights with it.

I had her do the "walk like an Egyptian" thing and she thought it was pretty goofy.  But hey, "When in Rome (or Egypt)", right?

I thought I was finished...

But I found more Christmas pictures from my dad's camera.  I'll spare you the stories that go with them - I'll just post the pictures.  :)

Christmas With Friends

We have a great group of close friends (which is growing, yeah!).  We are together a lot and decided this past Christmas to have a gift exchange with the kids and adults, too.  The kids loved it.  They each had one other child to buy a gift for.  The boys were easy - there are only two of them.  :)  The girls were a little more tricky but we figured it out and all had fun.

Here are all the kiddos waiting for the go to open gifts.

Lindsey and Preciosa exchanged gifts - here is Sosa's gift.

Lindsey opening hers.

Reagan opening her present.

Robert got an amazing gift - once he got through all the trash!

He got a rock! And syrup!

Well, really he got this new racquetball racket.

The big girls turn.  All fun gifts.

We had a fun time together.  Good food, good laughs, great friends!

Christmas with the Blasingame's

Christmas with the Blasingame's was at our house this year.  We love having everyone over and so we had everyone bring their gifts and had a fun evening.

One of my most favorite things ever is seeing the Christmas tree all decorated with all the pretty presents under it.  So of course, I had to take pictures of it all.

Lindsey concentrating on opening a package.

Yay for playdough!

Lindsey loves her new Rapunzel nightgown.

And Reagan got Minnie Mouse pajamas.

Nana and Pops with their new calendar of their granddaughters.

Reagan had to try out her new baseball glove.

We had a great night spending it with family.  We always have a wonderful time together.

ACS Christmas Program 2011

Also back in December, Lindsey's school put on their usual Christmas program.  This year they were angels - much like she was in the Westgate program this year also.  Here are just a few of the many pictures that were taken.

Caelan and Lindsey before getting their wings.

Singing

Waiting for the next song.

Ready to go.

The first grade did great!  Well, so did every other class but I'm a little partial.

Christmas Candy Making

Each year before school is out for the holidays, we spend time with Robert's family making all kinds of "candy" to give away as gifts.  We make coconut balls, peanut butter balls, chocolate covered everything and the girls are in charge (with the help of Aunt Lydia) to make the reindeer and Santa's from Nutter Butters.  We have a lot of fun and there is always a lot of mess.

Here are the girls getting started on the reindeer.  Reagan doesn't look too sure about it.

Lindsey got a little messy.

And Reagan had to join in on the fun.

Christmas in Oklahoma

Beware - this post is very loaded with pictures.  Good for the grandparents, not so good for those of you who don't care to see picture after picture of my kids and niece and nephew.  :)

There it is in a nutshell (a very small nutshell).  Be happy I chose only 32 pictures out of 247.  This post could've been way longer.  :)
