Reagan is Nine Months Old

Where does the time go? Reagan is getting so big. Still not crawling yet but we are definitely getting there. She will get up on her arms and pushes herself backwards. I keep telling her she is going the wrong direction but apparently she doesn't care too much right now. Here are the pictures for this month.
And here are a few pictures that tell a little story...
(sorry they are a little blurry - she is very active!)
First, Reagan is trying to get away from me and all my picture taking.
Here she says, "Are you still watching me?"
And here she gets upset when I set her back up and won't let her get away like she wants to.

Wonderful Wednesday

We had such a great day. Robert decided to take today off of work and we spent the whole day together as a family. How great is that? He had it all planned out and here is what we did.

(Settle in. It's a long read!)

First we went to McKay's Bakery because Lindsey keeps asking to go there for breakfast. Only she didn't like it. She wanted the pink muffin which turned out to be cherry and almond. She thought it was going to be strawberry. She also said that she didn't like the chocolate milk from there. Her loss was my gain, though, she we didn't waste anything!

Next we went to Frontier Texas! None of us had been before but many people have told us how great it is. Anyway, we went in and she was pretty unsure of the place. I guess it was the statues at the beginning that got to her. Then I started showing her some of the books that they have to buy there and she warmed up to the place. She, however, would not let go of Robert. He held her during part of the first video but then she decided it was an okay place to be. Then we walked out to the museum part and it was great. Robert and I loved looking at the exhibit but with Lindsey saying, "I'm ready to move on" we didn't really get to spend the time we wanted there. When we walked out, the lady said that we didn't get our money worth so she gave a us a refund and said that we should come back without the girls so we can enjoy it more. By the way, I tried to get a picture of Lindsey with the buffalo at the museum but she would have nothing to do with them. Later I found out that she thought that they were real. I guess I wouldn't want to be too close to real buffalo either! Haha!

After Frontier Texas! we went to The Grace Museum. Lindsey loves this place and I was finally able to take some pictures of her enjoying herself.

Such a cool art piece. You touch the different pieces of wood and it makes sounds. Robert enjoyed it too!Lindsey sat down and there was this air canon that Robert hit and it blew a lot of air right at her.She built this "castle" out of the blocks in the "Tot Spot".Reagan and Lindsey admiring the peek-a-blocks.Reagan wasn't sure what to think of this. But it was a really cute picture.Lindsey slid/fell down this little slide and knocked into the wall. This is one big, stuffed lion that they sat on. I guess kinda like Susan and Lucy in Narnia!By this time, it was only 11 am but we decided that since Lindsey didn't have much breakfast we would go eat lunch. We went to Szechuan for lunch because we knew Lindsey would eat that. And eat that she did. Almost half of our sesame chicken and rice!

After lunch, with full belly's, we drove to Mine By Design. I wish I had the camera out when Lindsey realized where we were driving to. Her face lit up so brightly. It was great to see such a big smile and silly grin. We told her to pick out what piece of pottery she wanted to paint and she chose a flying horse. Not really sure why but she has been talking about horses a lot lately. And now, with Robert's help, Lindsey has decided that we are going to get a real horse soon. Back to painting, Lindsey chose some very interesting colors for her horse. Pink, purple, and red. Oh, and some purple with speckles in it. Here are the pictures of the painting. After we pick up the horse next week, I'll try to remember to take a picture of the finished product.

This takes some serious concentration!
After all that excitement, we went back to McKay's Bakery because Lindsey saw a cupcake that she wanted. So, in went Robert and Lindsey. They came back with her cupcake, two cookies for Robert and this really yummy and cute cupcake for me. What a great way to end this long but wonderful Wednesday.

Yes, Lindsey's cupcake has a horse on top of it! Surprise, surprise! And here is mine! Actually, we came home and all took naps so I guess that was the grand finale!

It's April!

Lately we have been debating on what to do with Lindsey and school this next year. We talked to Abilene Christian Schools and decided that she would visit there one day. That day was last Wednesday. She spent the morning with the Pre-K classes and then the afternoon with the Kindergarten class. When I picked her up, she couldn't stop smiling. She loved it! Then we came home and we watched a little TV. After a little while, Lindsey asked me to pause the show because she wanted to "take a little nap" she said. And then about two minutes later, this is what I saw...snores and all.
This is Lindsey hunting Easter eggs at Young Children's World. This also happened to be the day that the wind was up in the 50 mph range. So, needless to say, they hunted inside. Oh, and her class made their little bags to hunt with. Too cute! (On a side note, before it was decided to do all things inside that day, some of the teachers were telling others that their kiddos were being blown over on the playground. Funny, huh?)Here are the girls' Easter baskets at our house before being emptied by one excited little girl. I think the Easter Bunny did a great job. Lots of fun stuff!Me and Reagan at church during the Easter egg hunt there. And no, she didn't find this egg on her own!Our family Easter picture. Usually we take a picture at the hotel during LTC but just didn't get around to it this year. Oh, well! The night before Easter we let Lindsey open her gift from her Mimi and Papa. It was the book The Night Before Easter. She and Robert read it before going to bed but unfortunatly I didn't take any pictures of them. The Easter Bunny also visited at Nana and Pops house. Lindsey is admiring her kite. She keeps asking to fly it but the wind here is crazy!Lindsey with her new Wall-E Leapster game. She was so excited! And this is how excited Reagan was with Easter going on. Can't you tell she loved it?

A Little of This and That

I have come to figure out that Reagan does not like to be alone. She doesn't even like it if you are in the same room but not right next to her. So, while doing laundry the other day, I decided to take her with me. This is how I was able to do our laundry in peace that day.And some of you may know that I have been searching and searching for an Easter basket for Reagan. Well, actually I was looking for two baskets because I have to have things match. Or at least the same thing in different colors. I went everywhere looking. I started at Michael's, then Hobby Lobby (that is where I got Lindsey's first basket), then to Target, then Wal-Mart, then finally Kohl's. All with pretty much no luck. I found some decent ones that would be okay but then next year I would want something better. I went back to Target to get some things for Reagan one day and decided to look there again. And lo and behold, I found them. Just take a look and tell me that I found the best baskets ever! I'm pretty proud of all my searching!
And for the last pictures for today. Robert loves holding his girls up with just one hand. The first time I saw him do this I almost panicked. Lindsey was the first to go up like this when she was just 6 months old. We were at ACU working with Bible Bowl and he just did it. And it scared me to death. Since then, I love watching it. I wish that I had my picture of Robert holding Lindsey up on this computer but I don't. I know I have the hard copy in our photo album but that doesn't help you guys out there. However, I have been told that Reagan looks so much like Lindsey so you can just pretend that Lindsey is in one of the pictures. The funniest part is they are wearing the same outfit when I took both Lindsey's and Reagan's picture. This outfit is one that my parents gave Lindsey when she was born and now Reagan is wearing it. How fun is that! Anyway, enjoy the pics!
