Lindsey's Photo Shoot
This last weekend, Barbara's fiance' and his family came into town. So we had lots of fun showing those Northerner's what good food tastes like. We went to The Beehive on Friday night, Famous Dave's on Saturday for lunch and then to Perini Ranch for dinner on Saturday. Talk about gaining weight! But it was all oh so good! When we were walking to the car, I decided to take a few pictures of Lindsey while the others got all loaded up. Here they are...

Reagan is Eight Months (and one day!)
I am the world's most horrible mom! My sweet little girl turned eight months old on Saturday and we were not at home so I didn't get the monthly picture on the chair. I did, however, take the picture a day late. So this picture, while not truly Reagan's eight month old picture, will have to do this time.
After the last Dittos for Kiddos sale, at which I bought Lindsey some new shoes, she decided that all of her shoes should be out at the same time. She came up with this game where her friends from school would all have a different pair of her shoes that were theirs. They would have to put them on and then stand on a stool or chair and sing a song. After the song they would jump down and run around the living room before the next persons turn. Not really sure where all that came from. Quite an imagination! Well, she then decided to line up all the shoes (after trying them all on). She put the ones that fit in one line and then the ones that were too small she put in a different place. I know, I know...too many shoes for one little girl!
Here it is...
I was able to get a few without Reagan flying away and this was the best. Pretty sure she was wanting to crawl away though!Reagan is finally rolling over both ways (front to back and back to front). No crawling yet but she sure knows how to get something by rolling to it or scooching (is that a word?). She has eaten pretty much all the baby foods (stage 2 foods) that I can find at Wal-Mart. She loves her fruits and most veggies are okay. She doesn't much care for the plain meats. But she did gobble up the turkey and sweet potatoes. I guess she will love Thanksgiving this year!

I thought it was too funny not to take a picture so here it is...Then here is Reagan with something that she loves to do. She loves to put something (her blanket, her rattle toys, anything she gets her hands on) in her mouth and look at me as if saying, "Look, mom, no hands." I thought it was really cute so I took a picture of this too.

Driving home
On our way home tonight after church and dinner, Reagan was a bit fussy. She wasn't happy to be in her carseat and would have much rather been out at home. About halfway home, during her fussiness and babbling, Lindsey said, "She just said 'Pecan'." Random, I know. But Robert and I just started laughing. And we both thought, "Well, we need to write that down in her baby book as her first word". Of course, she didn't really say "pecan". Actually, I didn't hear anything anywhere near those sounds coming from her mouth but Lindsey sure thought it should be Reagan's first word.

The Things People Say
So today I was at Lithia Toyota getting something in our van fixed. Nothing major, it actually only took 15 minutes, which is great because Reagan was with me. Which is why I am writing this. I went to sit in the waiting area and there was only one other person waiting. An older man was watching TV. Of course, when I walked over, he looked and saw that I had a baby with me and asked boy or girl. I always use pink blankets so I thought that was funny. He then asked what her name was and I told him "Reagan". For some reason, he asked me if she was named after my mom. I said no, that we just really liked the name. A few minutes later, he said, "Well, we had a president named Reagan". Just matter of factly. I just nodded my head. Then as he was leaving, he looked back at me and said, "I guess you didn't consider Obama." Wow, the things people say.
