Lindsey's Last Day of School

Today was Lindsey's last day of school for the year. Sad day for me (oh, and for her too). She has really enjoyed this year. She made many new friends and had wonderful teachers. Ms. April and Ms. Anne are amazing. They loved on Lindsey each day and (I think) enjoyed having her as a student. Reagan and I were able to go to Lindsey's end of the year party which included pizza for lunch and banana splits for dessert. She loved her pizza but didn't really get the of idea of having a real banana split. Maybe one day she'll learn. Here are the pictures...

And as you can tell, Lindsey is winding down after eating lunch.This was Lindsey's reaction to me telling her that Reagan and I needed to leave.And nothing would be complete without a picture of Reagan. I call this her push-up but one of our friends, Chandra, thinks she is trying to perfect the yoga position, downward facing dog. Funny!

End of the Year Program

So each year at Young Children's World, there is an end of the year program. The first year we were there was really cute. Lindsey's class was the youngest and of course the best! Then last year happened. Lindsey was so excited for the program to come. Her class had ordered t-shirts and everything. She was very much looking forward to it but on the day of the program, she was sick. I don't remember exactly what it was but we had to take her to Dr. J's Clinic. So, needless to say, she missed her program last year. So leading up to this program I kept asking her how she felt. And she felt great until nap time on Monday. Then she said her tummy hurt. Luckily it passed and we made it to the program. So here are some of the pictures that we took. She did great!

Wedding and Birthday Celebrations

Here are some random shots from Saturday night with Robert's family. We celebrated Barbara and Manny's upcoming wedding, Raymond's 60th birthday, my 30th birthday and James' 20th birthday. Crazy night! But lots of fun!

What a Wonderful Mother's Day

My Mother's Day started by my daughter, Lindsey, opening my bathroom door and turning on the brightest light ever! Or so it seems that way when you are completely asleep! Robert had told her to not turn on the bedroom light so she found the next best thing - and wow, was it bright! But that is okay, they brought me breakfast in bed. Yummy pancakes, sausage, and strawberries and fruit dip. I was also given some pretty flowers - red roses and pretty potted flowers from Lindsey that she did at school. It was all so sweet that I really didn't want to get out of bed after it all. But it was Sunday, of course, so I did.
Robert went and got Reagan up for me while I was getting ready some. He also gave Lindsey a bath since we didn't have time on Saturday night because they were out doing Mother's Day stuff.

Next was church. It was nice. My hubby was able to sit with me this week. He got someone to cover the audio system in the back so that he could be with his girls. Yea - that was the best!

Then lunch with my mommy. It was great. We got her flowers and a card (and bought her lunch). I told her we just got the flowers and card because then she doesn't have to pack anything else (they are moving this summer). And the flowers were in a vase that belongs to me so she has to give it back and not move it. And I figured with all the chaos of packing and the house being a wreck (but a nice wreck, mom and dad!) she could look at the flowers and smile a time or two and rest a little so that she can get up and pack more boxes!

After that, we went to Robert's aunt's house to say goodbye to his family that was here over the weekend (more about that later). Then home to our wonderful house. To take wonderful naps. All of us! Only to wake up almost three hours later! Yea for long naps!

Then dinner at Double Dave's. I love that place! So good!

Back home and in bed! What a great day - relaxing and full of people I love. Thank you honey! I love you!

Lindsey's Horse, Finally!

Here is the long awaited picture of Lindsey's horse that she painted on our Wonderful Wednesday. Pretty, huh? She choose all the colors herself and painted it too. She loves going to Mine By Design!
And this next lovely picture is what happened in our lives today. I had gone to eat lunch with my dad and then to Wal-Mart. Everything was fine until I came home and got out of the van. I heard this really loud sound. Kinda a sizzling, hissing sound. I thought maybe it was some condensation on the engine somewhere. I walked around the front of the car and could tell it wasn't from under the hood. It was the front passenger tire. Apparently there was a pretty large hole in the tire. I called Robert to tell him and held the phone by the tire and he said it sounded like the wind. Pretty loud, huh? Well, needless to say, I didn't get to go pick up Lindsey from school and had to call for backup from Lydia. Jeremy, you were next on the list to call since you guys have about fifty carseats!
That is what is going on here. Next week is Lindsey's end of the year program at school. Hopefully she will actually be in it this year. Last year she got sick that day with a really high temp. and was unable to go. I plan to post pictures from that Tuesday or Wednesday. But because I said that, you are more likely to see the pictures Thursday or Friday. We'll see how it goes!

Reagan is Nine Months Old

Where does the time go? Reagan is getting so big. Still not crawling yet but we are definitely getting there. She will get up on her arms and pushes herself backwards. I keep telling her she is going the wrong direction but apparently she doesn't care too much right now. Here are the pictures for this month.

Wonderful Wednesday

We had such a great day. Robert decided to take today off of work and we spent the whole day together as a family. How great is that? He had it all planned out and here is what we did.

(Settle in. It's a long read!)

First we went to McKay's Bakery because Lindsey keeps asking to go there for breakfast. Only she didn't like it. She wanted the pink muffin which turned out to be cherry and almond. She thought it was going to be strawberry. She also said that she didn't like the chocolate milk from there. Her loss was my gain, though, she we didn't waste anything!

Next we went to Frontier Texas! None of us had been before but many people have told us how great it is. Anyway, we went in and she was pretty unsure of the place. I guess it was the statues at the beginning that got to her. Then I started showing her some of the books that they have to buy there and she warmed up to the place. She, however, would not let go of Robert. He held her during part of the first video but then she decided it was an okay place to be. Then we walked out to the museum part and it was great. Robert and I loved looking at the exhibit but with Lindsey saying, "I'm ready to move on" we didn't really get to spend the time we wanted there. When we walked out, the lady said that we didn't get our money worth so she gave a us a refund and said that we should come back without the girls so we can enjoy it more. By the way, I tried to get a picture of Lindsey with the buffalo at the museum but she would have nothing to do with them. Later I found out that she thought that they were real. I guess I wouldn't want to be too close to real buffalo either! Haha!

After Frontier Texas! we went to The Grace Museum. Lindsey loves this place and I was finally able to take some pictures of her enjoying herself.

Such a cool art piece. You touch the different pieces of wood and it makes sounds. Robert enjoyed it too!Lindsey sat down and there was this air canon that Robert hit and it blew a lot of air right at her.She built this "castle" out of the blocks in the "Tot Spot".Reagan and Lindsey admiring the peek-a-blocks.Reagan wasn't sure what to think of this. But it was a really cute picture.Lindsey slid/fell down this little slide and knocked into the wall.This is one big, stuffed lion that they sat on. I guess kinda like Susan and Lucy in Narnia!By this time, it was only 11 am but we decided that since Lindsey didn't have much breakfast we would go eat lunch. We went to Szechuan for lunch because we knew Lindsey would eat that. And eat that she did. Almost half of our sesame chicken and rice!

After lunch, with full belly's, we drove to Mine By Design. I wish I had the camera out when Lindsey realized where we were driving to. Her face lit up so brightly. It was great to see such a big smile and silly grin. We told her to pick out what piece of pottery she wanted to paint and she chose a flying horse. Not really sure why but she has been talking about horses a lot lately. And now, with Robert's help, Lindsey has decided that we are going to get a real horse soon. Back to painting, Lindsey chose some very interesting colors for her horse. Pink, purple, and red. Oh, and some purple with speckles in it. Here are the pictures of the painting. After we pick up the horse next week, I'll try to remember to take a picture of the finished product.

This takes some serious concentration!

After all that excitement, we went back to McKay's Bakery because Lindsey saw a cupcake that she wanted. So, in went Robert and Lindsey. They came back with her cupcake, two cookies for Robert and this really yummy and cute cupcake for me. What a great way to end this long but wonderful Wednesday.

Yes, Lindsey's cupcake has a horse on top of it! Surprise, surprise!And here is mine! Actually, we came home and all took naps so I guess that was the grand finale!
