At a Stand Still (Kinda)

Not too much is happening in the playroom right now. Robert is out of town and we are just waiting on some others to come and install different things. I did, however, work some today out there. I cleaned the windows that used to be the outside windows. They were nasty. I should have taken a picture of the pile of paper towels that were used but didn't think of it. But now you can see how pretty they are. I am very proud of them. You can actually see a reflection in them! I just hope Lindsey will keep her hands off for a while, at least.

My mom also came over to put up curtains in the nursery and ended up helping me in the playroom a little bit. I started sweeping earlier in the day but my back started hurting so I stopped. Well, mom came and took over and swept for awhile and then she came up with the idea to use the vacuum. So we pulled it out and cleaned the floor really good. Now, hopefully, the carpet will make its appearance soon.

It is getting closer and closer to the time when I can clean out the living room and start putting things out in the playroom. I am so ready for it! And I am ready for Robert to come home! (He only left today. Is that bad?)

The End is in Sight!

Well, when we started the playroom project I told Robert that I wanted it to be done by June. I never specified the beginning or end of June which was my fault. Well, it looks like it will be done by the end of June. Lucky Robert! Here are some more pictures of what he has done so far.

Painted ceiling and door frame up.
Painted walls and baseboards to be put up tonight.
So now what we have left is painting the baseboards and putting them up (tonight), the crown molding (hopefully tomorrow), the ceiling fan and outlet covers installed by an electrician friend (Monday?), and the carpet installed by Home Depot (sometime soon). The carpet people have already measured and will be calling to set up a time to install it. I hope that it will happen soon. Robert has done such a wonderful job (along with a few of our great friends and family members). I am really impressed and excited to get it all finished!

Little Helper

Well, a Saturday around here isn't a Saturday unless there is some work being done in the playroom. And today was no exception. Robert even had a little helper with him for the most part. She really got into helping and loved being with daddy and granddaddy. At one point she came into the house and wanted to put on her overalls so that she and granddaddy could match. I got some great pictures of her working.

I Am New Here

Okay, so I am new to this blogging thing. I have enjoyed reading the blogs of my family members and friends and thought that I would give it a try. Bear with me as I try to figure out all about blogging.

I thought that I would put some pictures up here to start off. The first is the enclosing of our back patio to make a playroom. Our nursery is overflowing with toys and junk and we need a new place to put them before August. Our baby girl is due August 10th and I really need some order and organization to that room. This picture shows the back wall of our house and the back door. We do have up all the sheet rock now and are just about ready to paint in there. I'm sure that I will post more about that as we go through it all.

The second picture is of Lindsey after her first haircut. She was so scared and unsure of if it was going to hurt or not. After the first cut she was great and so happy. Of course, it helped that we were going swimming after we were done there.

Lindsey is doing great with the news of being a big sister. She loves baby and hugs and kisses her and tells her good night each time she goes to bed. I am hoping that all this love will stay around especially when Lindsey realizes that baby is not going away.

Thanks for visiting and reading my first attempt at blogging. Hope it wasn't too bad.
